Should have used a paintball gun. Marked up the car and then called the cops to have them look for it. :-)

Better to use a 50 Cal with an AP round and take out the engine. Then, when the car stops, go open a can of WhoopA$$ on them :wack:

Gotta agree with the prosecutor. Sounds like manslaughter to me. Little hard to make a case of self defense when you're shooting at a car that's driving away.

Agree, clearly the stupidity overrunneth for all parties involved. That stupidity cost one their life and and the other most likely a good chunk, if not the remainder, of his life.

It is called personal protection for a reason, if you are not at risk, stay safe and call the police. Once the homeowner pursued the potential intruder, especially outside the home, his ability to claim protection gets very difficult.

This is one example that various groups, and the governor, will use to oppose any kind of Stand Your Ground legislation. This guy's willingness to take a life for no good reason will be a banner that they carry.

Will the other two accomplices in the car face any charges?

Can they also be charged for manslaughter since they were accomplices in the attempted criminal activity were someone was killed even though it was one of their fellow criminals that was killed?

Felony murder rule could apply.
