Minnesota is going to Hell!

Minnesota is clearly going to Hell! :o

At least in the minds of our local gun grabbers.

Minnesota’s Gun Laws Could Become Every Gun Activist’s Dream
http://dailycaller.com/2017/01/31/minnesotas-gun-laws-could-become-every-gun-activists-dream/
Three major bills were introduced last week and a fourth is currently being worked on to loosen restrictions and support citizens’ Second Amendment rights. Each bill was authored by House Republicans, according to Twin Cities Pioneer Press.

  1. Stand your ground
  2. Cut carry permit fees to $50 and remove the renewal requirement
  3. Constitutional carry
  4. Carry permit reciprocity

Can you imagine what kind of blood-in-the-streets we'll see, if these were to pass.

We need to stop them, now, forthechildren. :?

Can't trust a state with Constitutional Carry.
Look at the constant bloodbaths in Vermont, which has had Constitutional Carry since the 1700s...in spite of ben and jerry....

No, that is what happens with con control. Check out Chicago, Detroit, NO, Baltimore.

Do you folks really think Governor Dayton will sign all of these?

Would you rather see bills like this on his desk or ones restricting magazine capacity, rifle features or universal background checks? Yeah, that's what I thought.

.

When it comes to Bills of this nature Governor Goofy does what MN Law Enforcement Officials tell him to do.

..and to be true to form, they will recommend that Goofy veto, which he will. He may not know what he vetoed, but he will know that his actions have the support of MN law Enforcement.

It's not "law enforcement" - it's lobby groups that may or may not represent their constituents.

I may have told this story on this forum before, but when I was Fire Chief, a bill crossed Dayton's desk that would have legalized more types of fireworks than we currently have. He was told to veto it by the state Fire Chiefs Association, and he did.

First of all, who are they again? So, a paid lobby group has more influence over the Governor than people who represent taxpayers????

Second, I was not a member of that association, and they most certainly did not represent my opinions on the subject.

It's the same thing with the various law enforcement "associations" in Minnesota. It sounds like a good idea, but it's mostly metro/bigger city departments that are active in those and I really don't think Outstate law enforcement opposes the latest bills.

Yes. The governor of the state of Minnesota does not work for the taxpayers. The taxpayers work for him. That is the way a liberal bully thinks. Lobbyists representing liberal causes do have more influence than the people who elected him.

Arguably the government hasn't represented the people since Woodrow Wilson, who pioneered the idea that the masses hoi polloi plebeians great unwashed proles peasants public is to be "managed" by the government. It's no coincidence that gun-control laws started picking up speed about that time. Owning guns is a direct antithesis to this theory of government.
