Federal Cartridge Lays Off 100 Workers in Anoka

Postby ranger on Tue Mar 07, 2017 5:57 pm

Analysts have noted that Federal Cartridge and other ammunition makers had expected that an election win for Hillary Clinton in November might have spurred sales as gun-rights enthusiasts stocked up on guns and ammunition for fear of tougher gun regulations to come. Such forecasting was thrown to the wind when President Donald Trump won the election.

Doubtful that Obama-era ammunition sales could continue under Trump- unless the left takes its own rhetoric about fascism seriously and starts arming.

I applied with Vista Outdoors recently.

Might things be a bit cyclical in the outdoors game?

There should be plenty of demand for ammo when we go to war with the global superpower known as North Korea.

Laying off workers is not funny, but that post was....

I guess this would be why they weren't investing in new plants to keep up with the artificial hoarder/flipper demand a few years ago.

Ding, ding, ding....

We have a winner.

Remember a year and a half ago, when people were lambasting the manufacturers for not doubling/tripling/quadrupling 22lr production? The artificial bubble was bound to pop, and anyone who understands basic supply and demand principles knew this cas coming.
