Just to play devil's advocate here, how serious a problem is lead poisoning in wildlife?

It does exist in isolated individual animals...population wide however, no species is being affected. Bald eagles, the charismatic emblem trotted out by the ASPCA as the poster child for lead poisoning from ammo, is at record population levels in the US and elsewhere.

It would seem, if this were really a severe issue, that their population would be doing the reverse.
