Arkansas expands Permit Cary Areas

Postby yukonjasper on Wed Mar 22, 2017 1:40 pm

Gov. Asa Hutchinson, left, speaks to reporters Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the state Capitol in Little Rock, Arkansas, after signing a bill allowing concealed handguns at colleges, bars and most government buildings if a permit-holder has completed eight hours of active-shooter training.

Eight hours of Active Shooter Training? What would that cost if it were available in Minnesota?

I would guess it would depend on how "active-shooter training" is defined.

That's how you, I and the rest of the sane world would define it, but politicians????

I suspect someone in the bureaucracy will need to define course requirements.

Sounds like a typical reaction from the NCAA. It seems to me that the expanded carry area isn't much good without defining the training qualifications. I assume NRA instructor training doesn't include active shooter training. Would those seeking the extra access be relying on police trainers?
