It's amazing how murder has been reduced to a minor offense. Only 12 years for killing someone? Sad

he was waiving his right to claim self-defense. However, the filing continued, “I am still able to argue that the victim was the first aggressor.”
Ah yes, the "he disrespected me" defense.

seven and a quarter is what the article says, so less than that even?!
plead guilty to unintentional murder after shooting someone? seems like you could get in as much trouble defending your domicile? I feel reassured that my life is important and thats why I need to be ''protected'' so much :?:

Isn't new, back when I was in college there was a guy who got in a bar fight here in Mankato. Lost, went to his car, grabbed a .44 and went back in and blew the other guy away.

He got sentenced to 7 years, served less than 5.

Compare that to what we do to sex offenders, it ain't right... and I'm not saying we should reduce sex offender sentences.

And bank fraud to continue your credit can get you 27 years.

I'd rather bank fraud was a monetary punishment paid as a multiple of whatever the fraud was and leave the jail cells for killers and rapists
