Molon Labe?

Liberal strategy is to get public opinion focused on the question : Is an accessory, widely considered gimmicky, novelty and superfluous but highly dangerous, as evidenced in Las Vegas, necessary in a civilized society?

Not saying I would be in favor of giving in - camel's nose etc. - but taking the devils advocate role .................I'm sure the incrementalist approach made famous by the Liberals would result in a chain of linking one rapid fire method to another and if everyone "agrees" that slide or bump fire is bad, the semi-automatic action surely isn't too far from that...................so.............."common sense" would dictate that it would be the next target.

I would throw it over in a second if I thought they would stop there.

As it's written, it is a straight up ban. Import, sales, manufacture, transfer, or possession.

“It shall be unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a trigger crank, a bump-fire device or any part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machine gun."

Banning crank fire would be like peeing on a forest fire. The most easly home made, with bubbas tool box. If ones intent is to do great harm, you can only stop them if they are discovered before hand.

but if you register every gun and confiscate guns that aren't used for anything but killing, you would greatly reduce the number of dangerous weapons on the streets - think of the children..........

Toolbox!?! Who needs a toolbox!! I have pretty high confidence that one could be built out of Lego!

Hope its only a bunch of grand standing. The slower things move the more it will cool down. My BFSlll makes the bump fire look like a turtle in a rabbit race.

Bump fire can be done with a finger and a belt, which do we ban next?

Seems to me bullets are the issue. Had he had no bullets nobody would have been killed with a bullet.

All that fertilizer he had would have had to have been used, then we'd have to ban fertilizer.

Then he'd have used a plane...

I'm worried, in a way that Aurora, Sandy Hook, and Orlando didn't worry me. A major backlash- as in legislation passed and upheld in the courts- looks all too likely.

Thants the problem though. IF it would stop there then I won't mind giving up my bump fire. But the IDIOT Dems win this and it will creat a snowball effect and they will want more. BTW, if they ban this, would they pay me something to turn it in? probably not.

It would be political suicide for the Republican party to pass any form of gun control. The democrats are smart enough to know this, I'm not sure the republicans are.

Sen. Feinstein introducing bill to ban bump stocks after Veg

I think we're going to see bipartisan support for some kind of gun control measures after this one. This bill is going to be a no-brainer for the people in Congress. And I think Trump will support it too. He's not nearly as 2A as people may think. And I agree that with the dems, it's always death by a thousand cuts so it won't end at that. They'll be calling for magazine restrictions next. And ammo limits after that.

Stating the obvious but it has to be said, especially at a time like this;
