"..... it shall be unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a trigger crank, a bump-fire device, or any part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment, or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semi-automatic rifle but not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun."

What happens when they don't like your short reset trigger? This has a broader reach than you might think

That would actually put some companies out of business.

Sen. Feinstein introducing bill to ban bump stocks after Veg

Several Rs already on board with this legislation. Ron Johnson from WI has already said he's in favor. Many others saying they support it going to committee.

Even the NRA is calling for additional regulation of bump stocks. This is a done deal.

They asked for a review, they only said regulations if they change their ruling which since Obama couldn't stop it I don't see as likely.

Because I read the news? There's a bill being drafted by a house GOP member.

And after ingenious gun owners find a way to bypass whatever bump or crank bans they come up with, the next step will be if not banning semi-autos altogether, mandating that they be designed to be mechanically incapable of firing more than once every 1-2 seconds.

Dammit, this could be the gun massacre that finally gets "assault weapons" banned for good.
