Now with the NRA statement they could say they are waiting on the review and this will stall for quite a while.

I read that to, And I blame it all on Hillary Clintons lie.

When the bump fire stocks started to become popular I knew right away that some nutjob was going to mow down a bunch of people with one of these some day, just give it time. Sadly that time has come.

Honestly they're just a gimmicky toy with no practical use other than giggles from dumping a mag really fast, and same with the trigger cranks. I'd venture to think similarly of all those "reset assist" (tac-con) or "double motion firing" (BFS) triggers. And I'll go against the herd and say that frankly I could care less if they are banished. The way talks are going now they will get banned regardless, but the better way would be an ATF ruling rather than some legislative bill that the Dem's could hold up and say "look what we got so far, what's next?"

Dammit, this could be the gun massacre that finally gets "assault weapons" banned for good.

Yep. Someone planned that well, didn't they? Finally found the right combination to seal the deal and start down the slippery slope.

The NRA stated additional regulation, not BAN. My guess it will be a NFA item so the business can stay operating.

If this is successful it will be the beginning of the end of gun rights. Look how Obama munipulated laws by EO without any resistance, what do you think will happen with another Obama or Clinton type if this is done as a law? If something has to happen, it would be much better if these could be treated as a firearm and not a outright ban by some law that can be circumvented by EOs. The beginning of the end.

JOINT STATEMENT FROM SAF, CCRKBA ON ‘BUMP STOCKS’

BELLEVUE, WA –
In response to the senseless attack in Las Vegas, the Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms have issued the following statement:

“The Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms support a productive dialogue concerning “bump stocks,” National Concealed Carry Reciprocity and the proposed Hearing Protection Act.

“We recognize that banning firearms accessories is not a solution to violent crime.”

Looks like Tannerite might be a target as well. Found a bunch (50-60 lbs) of it in his car.
