While this article contains some positive info regarding high gun ownership and low crime, I think it is just a foot-in-the-door piece that is the start to the antis next push into new laws. Namely the need for 'more research into law-abiding gun owner information'. To me, just another attempt to back-door their way into a database of all guns and gun owners.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about guns in Minnesota. An estimated 36.7 percent of Minnesotans own at least one firearm.

But we don’t know how many total guns there are in the state, or exactly how many gun owners there are, or how much ammunition is sold every year.

More Minnesotans own guns, violent crime remains low

I’ve been having a conversation with some anti friends about this. Have been telling him that talking about bans is a completely useless exercise, as I think that nobody has any idea just how many ARs and other similar rifles are already in circulation. And never mind all the magazines and ammo that is already out there. A ban, buyback, and confiscation isn’t feasible when every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a couple built ARs and enough lowers in their vault to build ten more.

Boy I am sure glad Pat Kessler took a "good hard look" at these numbers. That is some reporting right there.

Seriously, why do these idiots get paid to be on TV? and Radio?

I give Kessler credit for his voice not cracking, and him breaking into tears, as is his wont when reporting things that don't fit his agenda.
I think he'd get all poopied pants if true ammo statistics were ever reported.

They would fill their pants if they knew the truth. They would add allot more if they ever asked why?

I guess you will have to point me to some examples. I can't say I have followed Pat Kessler's reporting regularly, but I can not recall a gun related story on WCCO radio or TV that did not feel like there was a level of anti gun bias, not as bad as say NPR mind you but still an undertone that was distinct.
