Great idea in MN for an active shooter situation...LOL

Since we are "The State of Hockey"...

Training sessions with the university’s police chief, Mark Gordon, were organized for the staff. Gordon cited his experience getting hit with hockey pucks while serving as a youth hockey coach as proof that they could be used to hurt, Discenna said.

Unfarking believable...

I suppose the silver lining in this is they realize they need to fight.

I wouldn’t want to be limited to bringing a puck to a gun fight.

Are they going to pass out hockey sticks too?

Getting hit with a wrist shot hurts like H**l. Getting hit with a thrown puck?

How easy is it to shoot while wearing goalie gear? Probably more expensive than real bulletproof gear too.

If you get the tactical goalie gear you are good to go.

Overall just seems like a high pucker- factor action!

Maybe they could just issue fully equipped hockey players instead?

I could maybe get on board with a firearm that shoots hockey pucks at high velocity in quick succession. Think nerf gun with impact.

Better yet, nerf guns for all! Use the "ammo" that has the suction cups, and with enough stuck on the bad guy, he'll just leave or not be able to see...
