N.J. State Police Refuse to Rule Out Door-to-Door Disarmament
https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/item/30893-nj-state-police-refuse-to-rule-out-door-to-door-disarmament
Breitbart News reports that the New Jersey State Police have “refused to rule out house-to-house enforcement of the state’s ‘high capacity’ magazine ban,” in correspondence from the Garden State’s law-enforcement agency to the news organization.

As of December 11, it is a fourth-degree felony in New Jersey to possess a “large capacity ammunition magazine,” which is defined as “a box, drum, tube or other container which is capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition to be fed continuously and directly therefrom into a semi-automatic firearm.”

When they start the Police State tactics, I wonder how many civilians and how many officers will end up shot?

One has to wonder what: "...house-to-house enforcement.." actually means;

...going down the block, knocking on doors, one after another? ...no one is required to answer their door, or submit to a random dwelling search.

To completely search a house for something as small as a pistol magazine, you'd literally have to destroy it down to the framing...even a cursory search would take an hour.

Where would the manpower come?

Interesting (to put it most mildly) situation to watch

Wonder if this would violate the constitution?

I meant the 5th amendment "nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation."

Sorry I was not more clear.

My guess is this will just be another selectively enforced law used to keep the peasant class in line.

They aren't going to tear every 90 year old grandmother's house apart looking for every last magazine in the state any more than they do with drugs. They'll get "probable cause" through an anonymous tip, a traffic stop in which the driver has something else they don't like, etc. There will be dramatic no knock raids with heroic displays of the 15 round G19 magazines laid out on the bed followed by declarations of victory for "getting them off the street". They force gun owners a little farther into the dark corners with every step.

I guess the State of New Jersey has decided they want to test the resolve of Gun owners. I can't imagine door to door going well, more likely will be a surgical approach with its foundations being a database of some kind being made available "for the good od public safety and to potect our brave Law Enforcement officers who are just doing their job ".
