The Latest: Defense rests in trial of Minneapolis officer
Associated Press wrote:The defense has rested in the trial of a former Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed an unarmed woman who approached his squad car.

Closing arguments are expected Monday. Friday's testimony wrapped up the fourth week at the trial of Mohamed Noor. He's charged with murder and manslaughter in the July 2017 death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Australia who had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her house.

I don't think it will go well for the officer. Funny how we didn't see the same demonstrations as when someone is shot committing a crime.

^^^THIS^^^

You wouldn't know it by reading the local 'papers' but some of the TV news channels pointed out the ...'inconsistencies' in the the testimony of Noor and his partner, as well as Noor himself.

Anyone else, anywhere else, and he'd be in for a long stay at the Iron Bar Inn....but given he was the former mayor's pet project and the trial is in the Henn, Cty swamp, I would not bet a nickel on any convictions of substance.

Will there be riots if he’s convicted since the police murderers of blacks walk free?

Should have gone jussie smollet route, decided to try to shoot himself for sympathy and because orange man had but missed and accidentally hit a white woman.

The reactionaries on the left won't know where to come down on this without being told...

Shooter's ethnicity - good
Shooter's occupation- bad

Victim's gender - good
Victim's ethnicity - bad

Circumstances - immaterial

Shooter's religion - good
