A "Not Reaching Pouch"?

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/04/30/us/not-reaching-pouch-police-shooting-race-traffic-trnd/index.html
This woman is trying to protect black motorists during traffic stops with one small invention
But that's not the world we live in. Carter, a black woman from Pennsylvania who now lives in Alexandria, Virginia, has lived through this fear on behalf of herself, her husband and her son. A few years ago, she started thinking of a solution.

Then, in July 2016, 32-year-old Philando Castile was shot dead during a traffic stop in Ramsey County, Minnesota, and Carter knew right away it was time to put her plan into action.

Her idea? A simple clear pouch that can affix to a car dashboard and holds a driver's important documentation. On the pouch, the contents are boldly stated: "Driver's License. Insurance Card. Registration." Carter called it the Not Reaching pouch, and from this simple invention, a whole movement has been born.

Looks like a good place to stash a pocket pistol if your intention was to shoot a cop.

I don't think:

"...s'cuse me while I whip something out of this pouch.." is the right move with a nervous cop.

You WILL be asked to remove them from the pouch and hand to Officer.

I think it is a good idea. It is clear, so no pocket pistols would be concealed. The couple of times I have been pulled over, I immediately pulled my wallet out and placed it on the dashboard, before the officer approached the car, hands 10 and 2 until told to display license and proof of insurance.

It has been demonstrated locally that spontaneously reaching for anything is a bad idea.
Have your stuff license/ registration/ insurance card on the cowling, and your hands on the wheel, interior lights on, window down, engine/ radio off, sit still, and quietly wait for a request from the officer.
Neither one of you wants this to last any longer than necessary.
They'll probably thank you for your cooperation.

Only if your wearing camo, and mirrored shades.
And you should probably have the correct bumper stickers applied; just to set the tone.
