Is anyone else noticing how heavily weighted the local evening news is with shooting and gun violence stories? Noticed tonight on 9 at 930 and 10:00 on 5 that there were lot of gun related stories. Coincidence or is there a local/national vote coming up?

American news media has degenerated into nothing but tabloidism.

I've found my attitude and outlook has greatly improved after I stopped watching Television news.

I stopped watching when they went to digital broadcasting. But I'm afraid my outlook is still pretty depressed.

Without dismissing the notion of a media agenda, there seems to be a reported shooting in Mpls/ St Paul about every 4 hours.
I'd rather see the state of the cities reported, as opposed to whitewashed.
