Special Gun Session Adjourned By Virginia Lawmakers After Just Two Hours

Virginia Republican lawmakers rejected Democrats’ request to debate a series of gun control measures, voting to adjourn Tuesday’s special session after only two hours.

Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam had summoned legislators to the special session to consider eight gun control measures he proposed in the wake of the Virginia Beach shooting, according to the Associated Press.

It was a special session, where everyone was called back by the governor to consider legislation, that even he said wouldn't have prevented the most recent nutjob from getting guns. It was 2 hours of drama, just to get the session shut down.

It worked out, but not sure that qualifies as "working well"....
