Mass shooting in Canada

Postby BigBlue on Mon Apr 20, 2020 9:28 am

This news seems suspect because doesn't Canada have strict firearm laws and no evil black rifles??

https://www.startribune.com/canadian-po ... 569768632/

Oh yeah, and this one from Chicago which has more gun control than most other places in the US...

Must be fake news!

Tempting to send something to my Canadian friends we winter with who think the way most Canadians do that no-one should own guns. Luckily their 40 year old son that spends a couple weeks with them in winter gets it. Next year taking him to the range for some fun.

All these MORON countries think removing guns from law abiding citizens will stop the shootings instead should be figuring out how to get all the guns off the black market, were the bad guys are getting them from!

I doubt that black market guns were involved in this incident. And even if they were, the real problem is the person doing a bad thing. They will still do bad things with knifes, cars, bombs, hammers, fists, etc. Only way to stop evil is by eliminating the tendency towards it.

The only thing accomplished by attempting to eliminate a black market, would be the creation of a black market.

The RCMP won't identify the firearms used but they state they may have been illegally obtained.

And of course the idiot Trudeau wants to use this to ban all 'assault style' weapons.

Typical MORON in charge. If the guy illegally obtained the weapons, why punish law abiding citizens.

And they won't mention it unless it actually is an AR-style rifle. They'll just obliquely refer to the mass shooting as a reason to ban more.

IIRC, they were banned along with pistols years ago.

I thought so too, but this was his quote from this week:

“I can say that we were on the verge of introducing legislation to ban assault-style weapons across this country,” Trudeau told reporters during his daily coronavirus briefing on Monday

I saw that. I too assumed that they had been banned years ago but maybe not. Before all this craziness was planning a black bear hunt this fall. Would love to use the .458 Socom .
