Intentionally broad and non defined so anything that did produce a firearm will be, evidently and by the existence of said firearm, be a firearm manufacturing machine. 99% of of the elected officials are lawyers who are very adept at crafting trap language. That requires you to have your own lawyers to discover and protect you from them.

Your kitchen stove could be one.

Alright, I read the bill.
“(36) The term ‘firearm manufacturing machine’ means—

“(A) a device designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be used primarily to make, or convert a product into, a frame or receiver for a firearm; and

“(B) any combination of parts designed or intended for use in making a device described in subparagraph (A) and from which such a device may be readily assembled.”.

It gives me a headache trying to think down to the anti's level, but I think they're trying to ban jigs for DYI 80% lowers.

Or they're just throwing this against the wall to use as re-election propaganda.
I will never apologize for being an American.

They are loading it up with everything with the idea that even if there were compromises to getting it through, there would be enough traps in the language to take a bite out of the "problem ". Remember, they are incrementalists. Nibble, Nibble, Nibble.

I'm going with election year propaganda.

This bill has zero percent chance of making it out of the House, and an even smaller chance of being heard in the Senate.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Dems are just throwing crap against the wall to see if it sticks and show their voters they are trying to do something. You can bet the dems will use this, and any other BS legislation they wrote against republicans running for re-election showing how weak republicans are are gun control. Unfortunately, the MORONS who vote Democrat don’t realize this BS legislation won’t put a dent in murders by firearm.

3D printer...which is why the bill, if turned into law, would be completely unenforceable.

The language in the bill:

(36) The term ‘firearm manufacturing machine’ means—

(A) a device designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be used primarily to make, or convert a product into, a frame or receiver for a firearm; and

(B) any combination of parts designed or intended for use in making a device described in subparagraph (A) and from which such a device may be readily assembled.

The language "designed or redesigned, made or remade" is plainly ridiculous. Pretty much any machine tool or 3D printer could be twisted to fit that definition.

Notice, it doesn't just ban tools that are used to make weapons, it bans tools that are used to make tools that are used to make weapons.

Which is, essentially, all of them.

So, I guess those that own Mills, such as a Bridgeport , or a Lathe or even a Drill Press, could be lumped into this, if an ambitious prosecutor chose to?

As others have stated "their throwing Crap against the wall", and watching for what sticks....
