ar15.com shut down

Postby 870TC on Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:22 pm

From ar15.com facebook...Jan-11-2021 (first you control the media)
ARFCOM IS DOWN. We've been booted from GoDaddy and are looking for an alternative solution.

The site will return shortly at https://www.ar15-backup.com

Standby for more information

update statement:
AR15.com Backup Site Live, Switching to First Amendment Friendly Site Registrar

On Monday, January 11, 2021, I received notice from our site registrar that AR15.com had violated their terms of service and that AR15.com would be shut down immediately. The registrar’s decision to de-platform AR15.com was final and no method to appeal was offered.

It remains unclear specifically what content allegedly violated the registrar’s terms of service.

However, I am happy to report that we have found a new, First Amendment-friendly site registrar and we have begun the process of transitioning AR15.com to the new registrar.

We expect the switchover to take up to 5 days. During that time, our famous “AR15.com” URL will not be usable. Once the switchover is complete, AR15.com will be fully restored to normal function.

In the meantime, I welcome freedom lovers and firearm enthusiasts to visit us at our temporary URL: http://www.ar15-backup.com. We will post on the backup site when the normal AR15.com has been completely restored.

You do realize that the 2nd amendment is not the only one the left is against right?

They got to do away with the 2nd before they can effectively deal with the other 9.

Following President Trump's banishment from twitter, in protest, both Rush Limbaugh, and myself closed our accounts, affecting 55,000,002 followers.

They don’t care about this site. It will cease to be needed after they get done with their confiscations though.

If the current BS continues, and right now I see no reason it won't, sites, perhaps like this one; now experiencing casual internet usage will become the battlefield for cyber civil-warfare.

There will be sites catering to the left, and some that won't...including various commercial, and retail sites, all of which will be hacked, or attacked by the opposition. Some of which is now going on for criminal enterprise, will intensify when politics becomes the motivator.

Looks like GoDaddy and Amazon are the culprits.

Parler, it seems, has found a new hosting provider:

Parler finds refuge with right-leaning webhosting service
A handful of Big Tech companies moved to take down social media platform Parler over the weekend, but it appears to have found a new company to help try to keep its website running.

On Monday, Parler registered its domain and server to be hosted by Epik, an internet webhosting company known for working with right-leaning websites. Gab, another social media platform popular with conservatives, also uses Epik. A web domain search shows that Parler is now registered with Epik.

Epik put out a statement on Monday claiming it had no discussion of providing future services to Parler. Epik did acknowledge, however, that Parler was "working on satisfying the requested terms placed upon them."

Epik also defended Parler and said that it was being unfairly treated in comparison to its larger competitors Twitter and Facebook, which create an "undeniable double standard" when it comes to their policing and enforcement of content.
