Big Media is focused on selling this as a hate crime, even though the investigators who arrested the shooter seem to think otherwise; at least at the time I last read about it.

The reason for the hate crime initial reaction was because all of the Atlanta victims were Asian. But only some of the victims at the other location were. They were initially speculating that he had something against Asians but then started focusing on mental health issues associated with sex addiction based on their interviews with the perp. Apparently had a thing against massage parlors?

Evidently he was retaliating against, what he viewed was a temptation on his way to sex addiction recovery. Another guy who was, no doubt, surrounded by people who are not surprised because he has has mental illness problems most of his life. The people around him knew he was not stable.

These cases make it tough to fight against red flag laws, when the solutionisn'ttodisarm everyone but get help/provide help for those who are demonstrated to be high risk.......early on. The education system fails society yet again by not acting. They don't want to "label" and "stigmatize" young adults so they shove them out into the world ill-equipped to deal with their issues. Ill-equipped to navigate life and resolve issues because they are shielded from reality.

I've no doubt that over the coming days and weeks facts will come out regarding this goblin.

I'm sure he'll have a long history of violent and unstable behavior, that he may have been a prohibited person and his family tried to get him help, but the police and/or court system dropped the ball.
