Justification for use of really force ends when the threat ends.

Absolutely. And when there really is no threat to begin with..... you can’t look for a fight and claim self defense. Curious as to whether he had a permit, or if that’s gonna be one more item on the list of charges. One would hope a permit carrier would know better,

From the BCA:
A special agent from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the case.

I wonder why that is...

Suburban PDs rarely have homicide divisions.

Sure, in today’s utopia of no police this is not allowed. We used to hang horse thieves though and that seemed to be effective.

It makes sense were this a homicide. But the car thief was merely pistol whipped and shot in the hand.
Can’t be the first time BPPD has investigated a shooting.

I suspect we will see more of these situations. As people become frustrated with the lack of response from police departments, they will go vigilante on the criminals

I've been saying this for awhile. As people lose faith in the systems of government, that their vote counts, that laws are enforced in a non-partisan ways, the more common people taking the law into their own hands will become.

It isn’t helping that the left is demonizing anyone that doesn’t agree with them. That leftist groups like Antifa and BLM can burn cities with few to any repercussions. That the left is trying to eliminate the police.

Enjoy our brave new world.
