"Due to violent, destructive behavior by a significant part of the crowd, the gathering in downtown Portland is a RIOT. All participants are instructed to proceed away to the WEST," the Portland Police Bureau wrote on Twitter.

They backed the police in riot gear into a parking garage.!!???

Agreed.
Not long ago one of the media talking heads was lamenting how the shortages/ out of stock issues in stores would ruin Christmas.
It might be the best thing to happen to the Holiday.
While Santa, and the momentary suspension of disbelief is good for kids, many adults need to grow up.

Until these law enforcement entities start lighting them up with real bullets instead of shooting gummy bears, this crap will continue. Time for law enforcement to go on offense and mow every rioter down!

That ain’t gonna happen. Would you if you were making a LE salary and knew you would have to pay for your murder trial defense?
