Police: 3 customers carrying concealed pistols subdue armed robbery suspect at Ellijay gas station
It happened Monday evening at the Ideal Mart at 31 Old Northcutt Rd.
ELLIJAY, Ga. — An armed robbery suspect was subdued by three customers who were legally carrying concealed guns at an Ellijay gas station on Monday, police said.

Just before 6:30 p.m., a man walked into the Ideal Mart at 31 Old Northcutt Rd. pretending to be a customer buying an energy drink, according to police. As he walked up to the register, police said that he pulled up a pair of underwear he had on his neck to cover his face.

He then walked behind the counter and took out what police described as a .45 caliber pistol and held it to the head of the gas station clerk. The suspect demanded the clerk to give him all of the money, according to a statement from Ellijay Police.

A customer inside the gas station then pulled out a pistol, he was legally carrying, and helped intervene during the attempted armed robbery, police said. A second customer went to his car, grabbed his pistol, and went back inside to help the first customer subdue the suspect.

As the suspect was attempting to leave after the two men had their guns drawn, a third customer who was at a gas station pump, came inside with his gun to help the other two customers, according to police.

This is why we need to ban law abiding citizens from carrying guns.
How is a robber to otherwise support themselves?
Besides - that gas station has plenty of money:

$2,245.62 a second: ExxonMobil scores enormous profit on record gas prices - CNN Business

New York CNN Business —

ExxonMobil’s net income came to $2,245.62 every second of every day of the 92-day long quarter.
On that basis, Chevron earned $1,462.11 per second.

Since it takes about two minutes to pump 20 gallons of gas, that means between them the two oil giants earned more than $400,000 between them in the time it took you to fill your tank.

And this place probably made more than that during the course of this attempted robbery, seeing how they sell junk food, and smokes, as well.

So, Exxon earns $2,245.62 every second. How much does government skim off the top every second?
I will never apologize for being an American.

Minnesota gas tax is 24 highest at .286 cents per gallon. You also need to take into account that regardless of the brand on the front of the station it may be a single owner station taking the loss.
