Wrongful death suit against Kyle Rittenhouse allowed to proceed by federal judge
Rittenhouse was acquitted of all criminal charges a year and a half ago.
A Wisconsin federal judge is allowing to proceed a wrongful death lawsuit against Kyle Rittenhouse by the father of a man Rittenhouse fatally shot during a 2020 riot.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman, a Clinton appointee, on Wednesday allowed the civil right suit to proceed by dismissing motions from Rittenhouse and other defendants including law enforcement, The Associated Press reported.

John Huber filed the lawsuit in 2021 after son Anthony Huber was shot and killed by Rittenhouse, who had opened fire after Huber hit him with a skateboard during a protest in Kenosha, Wisc.

His father is accusing law enforcement of allowing a dangerous situation that violated his son's constitutional rights and led to his death.

Huber alleged that Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time of the shootings, conspired with police to harm the protesters. Rittenhouse said he went to Kenosha from Illinois to help keep order.

Conspiracy? That's a stretch...

So does Rittenhouse get to counter sue the family for raising a low life scumbag that hit him with a skateboard or no?

Or sue the police for letting loons like this run around?

It would be interesting to find out more about the lawyer involved in this. Wouldn't be surprised if they are well connected with the Democrat apparatus.

How about holding the city, county and state governments accountable for ordering the police to stand down?
I will never apologize for being an American.

I'd laugh, but civil lawsuits only have to meet the standard of "preponderance of evidence". If a jury decides that there was a "conspiracy" to allow armed civilians to use deadly force against a violent protest the police were forbidden to break up...

A GiveSendGo campaign was set up to help Rittenhouse’s defense efforts, with the page description claiming that Huber “is represented by a Chicago-based, incredibly well-capitalized, Democrat Party-aligned law firm specializing in police misconduct and civil rights cases.”
