I think it’s a politically motivated. Just my opinion…

It wouldn't surprise me at all to find that the site is heavily contaminated. Factories used to be a lot more casual about chemical waste.

Of course it's politically motivated. If Federal were manufacturing something the left loved, say abortion equipment, MDH would have gladly looked the other way.
I will never apologize for being an American.

MDH went after Water Gremlin for lead. Now Federal. I would think that Federal would be testing those employees that deal with any of lead based parts on a regular basis. I was offered a welding job at a company that recycled automotive batteries. One of the requirements was testing every 6 months. I knew the plant manager. I did a couple of contact jobs for him over about a month. That short time was enough for me to pass on the job. That and I don’t do needles unless it’s a last resort. I would expect that employees child came up with a high lead count and that triggered MDH. If MDH was able to back trace, directly to Federal then Federal needs to look at their operations. There are many places, ways that someone can get lead contamination outside of the work environment.
