Liberals are trying to ban hunting — don't let them
Driven by extreme, radical “ animal rights” activists who want to ban hunting and fishing as we know it, these attacks are spreading in state legislatures around the country. Family traditions that include the right to provide for ourselves are at risk. An idea that our Founding Fathers once would have seen as “unthinkable” is now headed toward the mainstream.

In 2020, Oregon activists fell just shy of the required signatures to send a criminal ban on hunting and fishing to the ballot for voters. Those same extreme activists are back again pushing the same ballot initiative , which, in their own words, “would remove the exemption for hunting, fishing, and trapping … meaning that any practice that involves the intentional injury of an animal would be criminalized.” Washington and New Mexico are also considering similar attacks on our hunting way of life.

Their goal is to ban more than just hunting.

Maybe I could claim Native American status and get an Indigenous Peoples' exception?

Just like gun control they are trying to control our lives because they "feel" rather than using data.

Death by a thousand cuts.

First certain forms of trapping. Then other forms of trapping. Certain species. Certain types of hunting like with dogs. Then all trapping. Then only with certain types of ammo. Eventually all hunting.

Then when we are not using firearms for hunting they have another excuse to push gun control.

Gun control and anti-hunting go hand in hand.

They do not understand how firearms, hunting, and conservation work together in the American Model of Conservation.

They do not understand or discount the Pittman-Robertson and Johnson-Dingle dollars at stake.

Just because an animal is not a part of a regulated hunt does not mean those animals are protected. It just means that tax dollars are used to pay others to attempt to keep populations in check.

Time to put wild life in these anti’s homes when they are out. Bet they call police to come shoot the bear in their living room. Stick a few skunks in the ring leader of these asshats homes.

Yup. When the wildlife takes Fluffy off the end of the leash there will be war. When the mountain lion take Pebbles/ Bam Bam out of the stroller, look out for a moms rath.

I have long maintained that these wildlife incursions are the direct result of leash laws.

We used to have dogs, some domesticated, some half-wild, surrounding every human community.

While that may have some impact, Kalifornia's ban on mountain lion hunting, and humans' continued invasion of the mountain lion's habitat were more likely culprits in this case.

There are some places that are experiencing just this. And they hire sharpshooters that do not even make a dent in the population.

https://pacificsun.com/belvedere-considers-hiring-sharpshooters-to-kill-coyotes/

"Wu says there have been no reports of physical contact between humans and coyotes. However, resident Mike Rowe, of Dirty Jobs fame, stated in the meeting that he kicked a coyote in the head after it shot out of the bushes and ran toward his 15-pound dog.

Other claims by residents include sightings of 50-pound coyotes pursuing their large dogs and packs of coyotes roaming the streets. Hazing doesn’t work because the animals no longer fear humans, they say."
