My wife's and my opinions are : Why can't these deranged shooters just shoot themselves in the head instead of killing innocent civilians, before shooting themselves.

We'll know more in the next few weeks/months, but in my experience, the goblins that perpetrate these kinds of heinous crimes have a long history of anti-social behavior and mental instability.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Generally a good idea to not have guns around where a lot of drinking occurs.

Looks like it’s allowed, unless the bar prohibits. Illegal to be intoxicated and carrying of course.

Sober people should not carry around drunk people? Why?

How can a bar tell who is sober?

Apparently the bowling alley had a "please do not carry" sign, which while not legally enforceable most people went along with. And iirc the bar would be off limits to carry. So that explains why a gunman could shoot multiple people in a carry-friendly state with no return fire.

How many of the roughly 400,000 with MN permits carry ALL the time were legal? ( Signs do not make it illegal in MN.)

Those on this this forum are most likely carry more often.

This Maine shooting is a great example of the failure of officials NOT using the current laws to protect the public. Officials will never be perfect. There always be failures. That is why ultimately the individual will need the tools to protect themselves.

Right now I’m finally listening to the national news of the above failure but the Maine Governor deflected any questions on the subject in a news conference stating it will need to be investigated further.
Because I care, I carry.

As evidenced by this tragedy?
