The related story.

But the problem was the unattended gun.

There have been studies on "accidental" shootings that indicate that in most cases the gun is illegally owned.

Seems our criminals and thugs make as poor choices regarding gun safety as with the rest of their lives.

While proper storage and attention would have prevented this, I’m not sure what the DOJ proposes to do about it.

The idiot was already prohibited from owning a gun.

I’m also thinking that there should be more investigation here.

Most 2 year olds are unable to lift a firearm, and most modern guns require a bit more trigger pressure than a kid can easily generate. The gun had to be pointed up to both hit the kid and knock out a window… and how many mothers would just sit there like that after their kid suffered a major injury- usually they jump to the kid, try and help and scream like crazy.

Something in this story smells. It may just be bad journalism, but the facts as presented don’t add up.
