EU court upholds tightened firearms ban
The Czech Republic had challenged the ban on semi-automatic rifles for private use. But measures taken by the European Parliament and the European Council do not breach legal principles, says the EU's top court.
The European Court of Justice (ECJ) on Tuesday dismissed the Czech Republic's legal challenge against the ban on semi-automatic rifles for private use introduced after terrorist attacks in 2015.

The Court ruled that the measures taken by the European Parliament and the Council "in the contested directive do not entail breaches of the principles of conferral of powers, proportionality, legal certainty, protection of legitimate expectations or non-discrimination as alleged by the Czech Republic in support of its action."

What is the saying? Those that trade freedom for security will soon have neither?

Think they are saying they won’t allow because they said so.

This is what happens when you give up your sovereignty to a multinational organization.

The EU is dominated by the very liberal elites of Europe.

Europe has a long history of discriminating against unpopular minorities.

This is a clarion call about why the UN needs to be restricted.

Can you imagine what it would be like if there was no security council veto in the UN?

The UN needs to be restricted to a forum where all nations can come and talk. Actions should be restricted to the decisions of the individual member nations doing what they feel is in their interest. As long as they have a chance to meet and present their arguments, that’s really what the UN should be.

Coincidentally, someone should make the EU take a seat at the UN, and all their members be sent home since the EU is apparently the governing body for Europe.
