The 'blood in the streets' certainly isn't from the law abiding carry permit holders.

Quite literally, a ream of 'paper', and this is the sole attention given to legitimate Defensive Gun Usages:

6) Reporting Requirement
To the extent known or determinable, data on the lawful and
justifiable use of firearms by permit holders.
Number of lawful and justifiable use of firearms by permit holders: 4

That number does seem low.

Possibly that means actual defensive shootings where an attacker was wounded or killed?

That is among my questions.
As in years past, the subject of justified usages of firearms is all but ignored.
My overarching curiosity is the treatment the topic is given, in comparison to other data:

1b) further categorized by age, sex and zip code of the applicant or permit holder: Age, Sex and Zip
Code of applicant or permit holder. ...........................................................................................................
Permit Demographics Report Year End (336 pages)

There's almost 400 pages to this document, the majority of those pages (336) devoted to the demographics of permit holders.

I'd be curious to see revealed the similar demographic information of those who were forced to defend themselves.
Given the report offers up only 4 justified defensive gun usages, an analysis, similar to that given permit holders, would be a relatively simple, and minor task.
I have to wonder if any might have been elderly women living in economically depressed zip codes, and the nature of the incidents; i.e: assaults in a public area, home invasions, etc.
Where these actual discharges of a gun, or a brandishing incidents?
That information is made conspicuous by its absence.

If I had to guess, I'd say that those 4 are the ones which no charges were filed or pending against the permit holder.
