Welcome to the madness.... I too did my time in the military and have 2 sons in the Army (both currently deployed in the sand box) and one son in the Marines. You will find lots of info and even some good people here.

That is an absolutely gorgeous gun. Did you built it yourself? .38 super or Dillon?
Reminds me of my first self-build .38 Super "race-gun" that I assembled around what was then called a Chip McCormick wide-body frame (TRI), which became later known as the STI. Chip gave me the frame 18 years ago, and I still have the warhorse running. Those were the days.
