Hello from Mankato

Postby curly2k3 on Wed Jan 25, 2012 1:56 pm

I'm Chris, I'm currently still stuck down in Mankato doing more of the school thing and working my crappy job at Mount Kato. I also do HVAC for my old man's company doing installs. I enjoy plinking with my HK 22 and my P22, but I also build ARs and other firearms. Ugh... I am a huge gear head, and live and love Subarus (I have a 96' STi and a daily beater wagon), and up until last year I was quite big into the paintball community. Enough so that I was running a team, playing on 3, running a league, and working for a team out of Australia.

I plan on selling my P22 (gf doesn't care for it) and building a piston AR pretty soon. I also plan to pick up a new handgun, most likely an HK or something like a P6 9mm.

Thanks for reading my little blog, that's me... so, yeah, see you at the range.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I suppose I could've also included that I shoot out at Ahlmann's, and both Bill's locations fairly frequently when there isn't this cold cocaine on the ground.

You need to check the marketplace. You never know what you might find.

I'm not Chris, but I'll try to answer your questions.....

codyw80 wrote:where is Ahlmann's

Ahlmann's is in Morristown, MN. Head south to Faribault, and then turn west on MN 60. It's about 11 miles W of Faribault

codyw80 wrote:bill's and can you rent guns there?

Yes - at both locations.

codyw80 wrote:Do you have to have a membership there to shoot?

No - they are open to the public.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, I'm an Art History major, and recently just a minor in History.

As they stated, Ahlmann's is in Morristown, its a nice place and they have 5k guns on hand too, which is fun to browse through always.

I saw that P6 on armslist actually too, I was considering that one.

Btw, ranger, same one that's on mnsc as well as a few other forums I assume?
