New guy in Fridley with a question

Hello everyone! The name's Ben, I've been shooting since I was 10ish. Been reading this site for a while now, just not the talkative type.

Anyone here had experience getting a purchase permit from the Fridley PD? Submitted my application two Fridays ago, April 27th. Haven't heard a peep.

Is Fridley a PITA about permits? Or am I just impatient?

Welcome aboard.

I would say you're just being impatient. By law, the PD has seven days to issue a PTP. However, there is no penalty for them if they drag their feet, so you're pretty much stuck waiting for them to process the application. Good luck.

I've been thinking about calling and asking, I just don't want to upset them so they hold on to it longer.

Edit: I called. I guess the lady that handles them has been out sick, and just got back today. She's working on it now but the Officer that signs the permits is out til Friday... :evil:

Oh well, what's another few days?
