I am SO sorry. ;)

Welcome to the forum from a current police officer and (eewww) a Glock owner (did I actually say that out loud?)

I love my Gen 4 Glock 23. Is it the perfect firearm specimen, no, but it is small, light, and reliable. Everytime I point it at something and push the boom button, it goes boom and hits where I aimed. What isn't to like about that?

That said, we should all own a 1911.

The agency I work for bought Gen 4 G17's last fall. Many of the internals and the recoil springs have been changed by our agency armorers because of short-cycling and FTE's. I'm not entirely convinced it will go bang more than once if I need it to.

Are you using some pansy!@# low-recoil ammo? I've blown through thousands of rounds of ammo on the on a few Gen4 G17s with ZERO FTE's or short-cycles. I'm not claiming they're better than the Gen3's etc, just that with standard 115/124gr FMJ ball they've been working like a Timex.

We use Black Hills FMJ. I can't remember off the top of my head what size boollitts.

124 gr hyrdra-shoks for duty ammo.

Hmm, have you had one of the Glock experts on this forum look it over and make sure it's using the latest recoil spring / extractor / etc? Have you personally had issues with your weapon?
