Hi there,I have been lurking around the board for a while and thought it was time for me to introduce myself. I am was born and raised in El Salvador, moved to the states 12 years ago, and 2 years ago I became a US citizen. As a good citizen I decided to exercise the second amendment. My first purchase back in January was a XDM 9mm, but it is not my first gun. Here is a story.
Back in El Salvador during the divil war, my brother decided that it was good idea to disassemble a 38 S&W revolver that belonged to my dad when he was alive. He put all the pieces and threw it in a ravine. I ended up finding the gun when I was around 12. The gun was missing a couple pieces, but I knew a guy that could get them for me and I managed to restore it. When I moved to the US I gave my brother the gun back, later he moved to Canada and I asked him what did he do with dad's gun. His answer " It took it apart and threw it in a ravine, I didn't know what to do with it".
Anyways, I had my fair share of experience with firearms. Now I am looking to learn how to use them properly, and embrace shooting as a sport. Not sure where to begin with that, so be ready for questions to come.
For a job I am an art director and designer for an advertising agency in town. We just had our first baby, her name is Giana. Another hobby of my are salt water aquariums, and photography.
I look forward to personally meet you and learn from you.
and I leave you with the good unsolicited baby picture...
