Hi from the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League!

The Minnesota State High School Clay Target League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and the independent provider of shooting sports as an extra curricular coed activity to high schools for students in grades six through twelve who have their Firearms Safety Certification. 4 years ago we had 3 schools and 30 kids in the program. For 2013, we expect more than 110 teams and 3,500 kids.

Our League received approval from the Minnesota State High School League in 2012 to host the first sanctioned high school trap shooting championship in 2014. When that happens, Minnesota will be the only state in America where it's state high school athletic association provides trap shooting as a recognized championship just like all other high school sports.

Welcome to the Forum.

If you don't already know, you can contact the NRA Foundation for grant money for these programs. Money is raised by the Friends of the NRA for just such programs.
If you aren't familiar with this, contact the NRA field rep in your area about a grant application. It's all done "on-line" and will require a bit of work. BUT,,,,, if the grant application is properly filled out, and submitted on time, they can receive product from the NRA such as ammo, clays, supplies & even firearms. Check into it!

Very true.

I have gotten a couple grants from the NRA when I put on a Woman On Target days at the local club, got $1100 the first time and $800 the second year.

And welcome. :D
