Evening all,
I hail from Roseville, MN. I come to shooting through my father, who was a 30+ year veteran of the Minneapolis police department as well as an expert shot and excellent at reloading. I haven't got anywhere his skill, but I am getting back into going to the range. He and I had planned to do a lot more of this together a couple years ago when he and I were getting paperwork together so he could sponsor me into the range up in my home town. This was literally about two weeks before he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was gone less than 8 weeks later, so that plan never really materialized.
In the aftermath, I've waited for my siblings so we could finally sort out his collection, but as of yet, nothing has been decided yet, so with the current political climate, I've decided it's now or never. I recently took my conceal and carry permit course and am waiting for the results of that. In the meantime, I borrow a handgun to practice at the range whenever I can. So, here's hoping I can learn a thing or two.
