Hello all,
I will be moving to Minneapolis early December from Atlanta. I have been part of Georgia Carry for many years and look forward to being part of this group. If I am correct my GWCL will not be honored there and I was wondering how long would it take to get my license once I get there. I am also interested in the differences between the laws here and up there. I hope to learn a lot from you guys in the coming weeks and months.

You need to take a class to be able to apply for a MN permit to carry. The laws should be explained during class. There is probably a class every weekend somewhere in the metro area. Plenty of instructors on this site so check the class postings.
Depending on the county you end up residing in the permit will arrive in 1-4 weeks after application.
