New guy

Hi everyone,
My name is Karl. I'm getting back into handguns after a LONG period of being broke. Now, I'll still be broke, but at least I'll have something to show for it. The only pistol I managed to hold onto over the years is the Colt 1991A1 that I bought after getting out of the Army in the mid-90s. I'm gradually trying to replace the pistols I sold off over years to pay rent or buy groceries. You gotta do what you gotta do. After 15 years of spinning wrenches for a living, I got a new, clean job, but still use my tools to work on my T-bucket, 46 Ford Cabover, 66 Chev, Model A.....(Old cars sure are expensive too!) I'm glad I found a place with fairly local people with with local gun related interests and news.

By the way, can anyone tell me the nearest shooting range to Mankato?

Thanks,
Karl

Hi Karl,

The Hunter's Den is the nearest place to you I see on my map.

There's also Faribault, which has IPSC and IDPA weekly in the summer.

Greetings!

The first .45 I ever had was a Colt 1991. Excellent gun for the money, and I always thought it was cool that they started the serial numbers right where they left off with 1911A1s in the 40s.
