Welcome,

I agree with the others. Definitely bring the gun and the ammo if you go to the steel shoot. You will kick yourself if you don't. Its a lot of fun, the range officers are excellent and they will make sure you have a complete understanding of what you are supposed to do, before asking you to do it.

Also you do not need to be a professional exhibition shooter or anything of the sort to be "in the middle of the pack". So there is no need to be intimidated, wondering if you'll be able to hit the targets at all.

I'd venture an estimate on this. If you've fired about 500 rounds through a pistol in your life, and had a somewhat normal learning curve with that, you'll have the accuracy to get through a Steel Shoot. (lots of variables there, but the point is you should go and have fun doing it!)
