Hey folks, love the site so had to join up. Pretty new to shooting, pistols primarily, but a little obsessed. It all started when I had kids and started working through potential threats to my family in my mind. Family changes a guy, you know. One scenario had an armed attacker threatening my family. (I live in Brooklyn Park, remember?) Somehow the gun gets free, I pick it up, and realize I don't know what the hell to do with it. So, learn about handguns I did.
Next, I "mistakenly" left a Lifetime movie on that recreated a violent home invasion for my wife to watch. With her telling me we need a gun, I was free to progress.
Feeling somewhat crippled without a PTC, took the course, got the permit, bought three guns. You guys may not believe this but it can be addicting.
So, I'll be soaking up all your knowledge moving forward. Happy to have found a place to peruse...
