Hello everyone, My name is David. I have been lurking around on this site for quite some time now. I am currently a college student at Minnesota State University, Mankato and studying Political Science and Law Enforcement. I figured I would make an introduction on here before I start posting dumb stuff. I am looking forward to getting to know some of you guys around here. Thanks!

Welcome!

I happen to be carrying a Glock 27 at this very moment - nice choice!

I also have a degree in Criminal Justice, though from a far superior institution :)

Hey, dtapper, welcome aboard. You are not at a place where you necessarily lose points for being a nutjob. ;)

I'm thinking about a home defense shotgun myself. But I kinda have the impression that a Remington 870, express or otherwise, really needs no modification at all. So shotgun guys, tell me, and dtapper, what a home defense shotgun needs. Has this ever been discussed before?

Well I just added a ATI 6 position adjustable stock and an 18.5" barrel to it. I however, would not recommend the stock without the spacers they sell separately. The stock sits to high and puts a damper on your aim.

No, he hasn't done his skills training. I'm not sure if he will - about the time he finished the requirements for his CJ degree, he changed his mind about a career in law enforcement. That's why he has the double major. He went an extra semester to finish the PS degree.

......i'm not some nut job.

That's unfortunate. I'm not sure your cut out for this kind of forum. :P But, let's hope you were just trying to be politically correct. If you've been lurking, you have some idea what you're in for. But, seriously, welcome and try to get to some of the events. We aren't as bad in person. Well, except for myself and a few dozen others. :D
