From Mankato

Postby Robgrover on Sun Aug 21, 2011 3:44 am

I live in Mankato and farm with my father in Amboy. The wife and I enjoy shooting and go shooting almost every weekend it is nice. We are looking to get into some pistol competitions next year, the wife and I.

I am currently deployed and am in the arms room and one of the other guys in here is always on this site so I figured I would give it a try. It looks like a good place to get info on all the ranges and stuff in southern MN. Currently I am not part of any range since my parents have plenty of land that we can go shooting on, but once I get back I hope to join a range that has some leagues going on. I know that is one in Fairbault that has pretty regular events, but other then that I don't know of any others so any help would be much appreciated.

When you get back, check out Key Cities Conservation Club, just west of Madison Lake.
http://keycitiesconservationclub.org/
They have shotgun, archery and a 25, 50, 100 & 200 yard range on 78 acres. Best part, if you have been deployed overseas with in a year they will give you a free membership good for one year as a thank you for your service.
