Lumpy in the house!

Postby lumpyoats on Thu Jan 19, 2012 7:46 pm

Hello all,

Glad to be here and learn from all of you.

My interests include: pack type rifles, saving a dollar (cheap/frugal/broke...), scouting and bushcraft, shopping for a first handgun for myself and my wife, two sons....oldest just got his first rifle (22lr Crickett) and wants to hunt with me!

I am not an expert at anything gun related....grew up hunting duck/goose/pheasant with friends....when kids came along, stopped hunting and shooting.....now I want to do more of it again but want to go small, light and cheap.....considering a Marlin Papoose after reading a thread here about them!

Really enjoy the posts here and look forward to learning and participating,

Welcome. Enjoy your time here. A lot of good things to learn. Nice people too.
I like my freedom. It came at a high price to many before me, and I will honor them by keeping said freedom intact.

Welcome Lumpy. I'm a cheapskate too. Don't go cheap when handgun shopping though, a $15 rental fee is a lot better than buying outright on something that may not fit you and your wife well.
