Hello to all from Richfield

Just wanted to say Hi to all of you.. I was led to this site off of XDTalk and I am sure glad that happened.. Never knew we had a MN site...

I am a avid hunter with my bow.. I love to fish for bass and just recently got hoked on the muskies as well now.. Love taking the girls fishing as they really enjoy catching fish no matter what it is...

I am just getting started in the pistol world.. Will be buying my first pistol some time within the next 10 or as soon as my tax man gets my taxes completed and sent in!!!!!!

Looking forward to learning alot on here especially in the short term so I can purchase my first toy..

If anyone has some great deals on Glocks Gen 4 in a 4" barrel, XDm in 3.8 or 4.5 or even 5.25 I would be interested in hereing..

Also looking at M&P's and numerous others as I cannot make up my mind what I am wanting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a excellent price I could lean one way or the other or maybe even buy 2 guns for the right prices!!!

Any words of wisdom I am willing to listen..If you are looking to a person to shoot with at a range give me a holler as I would love to meet others that enjoy shooting..

THanks
Mike    :gun:

Well if you have some really great discounts on buying 2 guns I would consider buying 2 of something that is for sure :-)

Welcome, and before the GLOCK guys get here. Do yourself a favor and just get the XDM. I am up to 3 of them, looking at a 4th. The M&P comes in a close second. I keep a GLOCK around for chipping ice on my driveway, it does not work well but I enjoy ever time I smash it into the pavement.

welcome from Brooklyn Park. there's plenty of advice and too many opinions around here :D

i agree with Dan about Glocks, but that's just me. the XDs and XDms are nice guns, i really like the XDm 45 5.25, i think it's one of the only polymer pistols on the market that i like (that one and the FNP-45)
saying that guns kill people is like saying that spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

Now that is pretty funny...I am heading to Bill's range this morning to shoot several guns which includes XDm 3.8 4.5 and the 5.25 in 40sw and 9mm...There will be at least 1 or 2 glocks to try as well...Same with the SW M&P!!

Gonna have something new in my hands to shoot next week..SO after today it will be where to buy it from..The place with the best price but also has to have great customer service to boot..,...

I would recommend you check out Thunderjohn on the board here (email him, do not send a PM). He is down in Savage but he is great to deal with. If you want traditional store front and window shopping Gun Stop in Minnetonka is a great place to go and drool.

I'll second the recommendation of Thunderjohn (email: southwestarms at gmail dot com). Also a +1 on Gun Stop, but if you're headed that direction, don't forget about Frontiersman in SLP, either.
