Hi all - formerly MN

Hi all,

I grew up in Stillwater, MN and now moved across the border towards Somerset, WI. I've always been into firearms hunting and have recently become interested in Pistols. After shooting many pistols at the range, I just purchased a Sig P238 for my first and plan to take the MN Conceal Carry course. I'm pretty competitive and am planning to look into the pistol competition as well - not with the .380 of course. Hopefully I can learn a lot of useful information from others experience on this forum.

Hey Andy! Glad you found this place. Wish I could go with you of Friday.... I just ordered my reloader kit from sheels yesterday, they said it just takes a few days to get in. BTW... Sheels in EP doesn't carry guns.

There are quite a few semi-serious competitive shooters here that can help to get you squared away with whatever you want to do. Just ask and I can guarantee you lots of opinions. ;)

I spend at least half my time in MN and from what I understand the MN course (or at least some - possible depending on the format?) cover many states requirements. At least that's my initial understanding of it.

Well I think the main reason you should take the MN course is with your hunter safety cert. you took when you were younger... You're qualified for the Wisconsin license already, but you still can't carry in Minnesota with it.
