New from Mille Lacs Co

Answered an add on Craigslist and the Guy was nice enough to send me a link to you guys. Thought I would say hi and introduce myself a bit.
I'm not new to the firearm scene, I hate airsofters and I don't play tactical paintball....lol figured I would get that right out there first. I'm a combat Vet, did 5 years in the Marine Corps.

Things I can help with,
I'm prificiant with most anything gun or gun related.
I can get very detailed and do precision handloading...as well as explain many things handloading.
I'm very proficiant in extream long range precision shooting.
I can help with minor gun repairs or trying to help you squeeze a bit more accuracy out of your rifle.
I can teach precision long range shooting (case by case) .
I'm a very avid hunter, goose, grouse, pheasant, duck, deer, small game, pests.....

That should be a good start.
Anyway, figure ill streatch my legs a bit and look around.....

I shouldn't say I hate airsofters but I do get tired of hearing about how "tactical " they are "in training " in their mom's basement while eating their MRE (aka hotpocket) and if the zombie horde comes into their hood they willl get all their airsoft buddies together and takedown the local police department (since the cops will be the first to fall because they....of course...don't airsoft) and they will save the world using the cops' guns....except Bob....he will of course forget that a real Glock doesn't have a 175 round capacity....

Do I have a couple.....yup.
They are more for shooting your unsuspecting buddies and for training my kids on what to do if they find a gun lying around. Yes I use them for that, it looks real to them. Try it with your kids, lye one out where they can get to it and see what happens....I can lye one in the middle of my livingroom and it won't be there a min before one posts to watch it and the other comes looking for me. I stick them in the yard too once in a while just to test them....I've even burried one in their sandbox.

Welcome! Great site, lots and lots of information and the For Sale section is top notch! The best part about this site is that the sellers and posters are not BS experts and there are zero scams on here. Thanks for your service, Headhunter, from a fellow vet. I did 5 in the Navy...and set foot on a ship only one day in that entire 5 years!

Ship time sucks, Ive been on three deployments with one going to Iraq. Its nice to find a forum of locals where the BS is to a minimum. Ive been a member of Snipers Hide for many years and its gotten a bit old. Too many new members and its honestly grown too big to control anymore with way too many politics now. I miss the days when its population was under 10K (prob in the ballpark of 100K now). Im looking forward to getting to know some of you more respected and knowledgable members, and those that want to learn a thing or two.

PS Sorry about the Airsoft rant, I just get tired of some of the other Forums, people chiming in with "This one time while at tactical airsoft camp...." guys giving advice on real life encounters. There is a place for it and it may not be bad training used in the correct context...there are decisions to be made and there is a painful reminder of your bad decisions. Too many 14 year old "experts" have ruined my taste or tolerance for such. This is the first time I have been into a forum in a couple of years because of this.

I welcome anyone that needs help or has questions with reloading for precision shooting at LONG distances. I have been (for the last few years) trying to get more challenge with hunting....Shooting a deer at 100 yards with a rifle I can shoot sub 1/2MOA with just isnt chalenging or that much fun anymore. This year I have bought only an archery license and have put my long range sticks away. If anyone needs a hand in shooting long range (out to and including 1500+ yards) let me know, I would be glad to help you out! I used to compete at West Branch Gun Club in Princeton and we can get 515 yards out there without an issue.

If you need to borrow some reloading gear or shooting gear drop me a line, Ive got tons of it....in fact I might try to thin the herd on some of it. Ive given away 3 full sets in the last few years to those that want to learn but cant afford it all. We have all been there.....myself included.

Ive also got a 2006 F120 for my kids to ride (I get more of a kick out of watching them than riding myself!)
