Greets, just joined the site today. I'm an IT consultant of 20 years in the cities. I grew up in south central MN. I've been responsibly handling, shooting and maintaining handguns, rifles and shotguns since I was 12. I was a Boy Scout and also led a den, a pack, a troop, and a district committee in Scouts. My SO and I are MN carry permit holders. I am sending my UT carry app via certified mail next week. We're also both NRA members, and I am a MN GOCRA supporter. I prefer small, private, local FFL/gunsmiths over the big boxes, but will trade money for something on the big box shelves if its what I verify my gun guy will support for me, provided he can't get his hands on it or I want it sooner, but I'm pretty patient (but growing ever more impatient lately). Firearms lifecycle support is very important to me - I buy to own for life. I was also at the Capitol this past Tuesday evening in the sub-basement overflow room, and I've written to each member of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee and my local representative and senator detailed letters analyzing for them the anti-law abiding owner and permit holder language in the bills presented. I'm anarchist / libertarian, more so on the anarchist side (don't believe minarchy can work), if political labels have to be thrown around. I'm looking for like-minded groups to associate with as my human right to defend myself is being assaulted by politicians, and I feel I have found a place to do so. Thanks.
