Returning Home

Postby Dreconem on Wed May 27, 2015 3:33 pm

Hi all,

I'm a MN native transplanted to TX and will be very soon rejoining my northern brethren in Minneapolis.I got into firearms and shooting when I moved to Texas and I will definitely not be giving that up with the new move. I've shot a little bit of IDPA, USPSA and Skeet and I'm tempted to get into a 3 gun or skeet league once I return.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and make some well controlled and aimed explosions happen.

Welcome back.

Out of curiosity, why would you come back to Mn?

Probably many of the same reasons most of us never left.

I'm only curious because we have considered moving to Texas.

We spend a week in Dallas area and week in San Antonio area and then head for drier winter warmth in AZ.

Welcome back to MN. If you're looking into 3gun, check out the MN3GunGroup http://mn3gungroup.org/.

They are a great organization that put on superb matches attended by some of the finest folks you could ever meet. I don't shoot as many of their matches as I used to since another club started hosting matches on the west side of the state, but if you are in the metro area, this is where you want to go.

Welcome!

We shoot IPSC and IDPA at the Faribault Rifle & Pistol Club (range near Shieldsville) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in summer. If you live in the south metro, this may be close for you.
