Wife got me into tea. I'm trying to get her into shooting. There's a SR22 pistol under the tree this Christmas, and Santa is bring her some walker muffs and ammo :D

Hope she buys you some gyokuro in return - it is my favorite green tea. Do you know about Indigo Tea in Burnsville?

I can't stand green tea. Grass clippings in a cup. I'm a fan of a nice black - usually Chinese/Yunnan but occasionally a ceylon. I've dabbled in pu'erh but I don't drink them much.

I've heard of Indigo, but haven't been there. I have been to the little shop in the tool section of Sears in the Mall of America. He's got good stuff and it's a great place to kill time while the wife is shopping.

Generally though I buy all my teas from http://yunnansourcing.com/ - while you do have to wait a week or two for shipping direct from China, the prices, selection, and freshness can't be beat.

I grew up in UK, I had enough black tea to last 2 lifetimes! Try Japanese greens (senchas), I prefer them to the Chinese greens.

Neil at Indigo does a tea class where he teaches the different types, and does a taste testing.

Oh, wait - is this a gun forum we just hijacked?

Welcome to the forum.

Talking about gun powder tea - how do you stop all those tiny pieces of tea from getting from the tea bag/mesh into your cup? :)

Personally, I find a bit of the fine powder adds to the flavor of the tea. I tried different tea bag types and one filtered out almost all the fine powders and the tea did not taste as good. If it really bugs you, you could get a small coffee filter and pour it through.

If you take out all the leaves and fine powder, how will you reliably predict the next election?
